Weird day
sanity overrated from willow_kat

I feel like I got not very much at all done, but yet I did the following:

- wrote a "letter from the worship chair" for the church newsletter, and even got some help revising it before sending it off
- submitted the Christmas Eve service listing for the newspaper
- went to the dentist and got my semi-annual cleaning and "wow, how much fluoride was in your water where you grew up?" glowing report
- did some grocery shopping
- got interviewed by the local paper about what I do for Winter Solstice (and fortunately already knew they had hit a couple of other folks who would give the basics, so that I could focus on my own weirdness and the fact that not all Pagans are Wiccan, etc.)
- taught intro to bellydance class
- cooked some of the items we'll be serving at the Twelfth Night Midieval Feast for a trial run: turnip soup, lemon-wine chicken, fried spinach, and daryoles. The daryoles are still cooling, and are probably going to take the most tweaking to get right. Of course, the fact that I need to scale down the recipe from "serves 20" to "serves 2" to test it is going to make it harder to turn around and figure out what tweaking shall be needed to cook enough to serve 100. ETA: Patsfan thinks the turnip soup would be a good sauce for the chicken, and the lemon sauce ought to go on the spinach. I can hardly wait to hear what he thinks I ought to do with the daryoles.

So, um, yeah, got some stuff accomplished. There's still a shitload more that needs done around here, but hey, I did stuff, so it's all good. The fibro is still acting up, and I'd hate to try and hold a needle or any super-fine motor skills like that, but it's a helluva lot better, thank the Gods.

Now I need to wind down and sleep, 'cause I'm supposed to work at the hospital tomorrow morning. That means waking up at 5:30, something I really don't do anymore. ::groans::
